Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Focoos AI is an innovative Italian startup with a mission to simplify and accelerate the adoption of computer vision through an advanced platform that provides highly optimized, frugal, and scalable AI models. Focoos AI’s technology enables companies to develop and integrate computer vision solutions independently and efficiently, reducing costs and complexity. Its applications span across various industries, including manufacturing, geospatial analysis, healthcare, and robotics.

Since 2023, the startup has been incubated at I3P, the Innovative Enterprises Incubator of the Polytechnic University of Turin, as part of the ESA BIC Turin incubation program. Focoos AI has attracted significant investments, including a €335,000 pre-seed round from Galaxia and CDP VC. In December 2023, it won the National Innovation Award (PNI), securing both the title of Best Italian Startup and the award for Best ICT Startup.

The company operates from OGR Torino and collaborates with strategic partners in the innovation and research ecosystem, aiming to make artificial intelligence more accessible and efficient for the market.
